Hurricane Irma Update #3

September 7, 2017

Please see below for a very important Hurricane Irma update from your management team.

First and foremost, we strongly encourage each of you to make you and your family’s SAFETY your number one priority!!

We are continuing to monitor the latest facts and information related to Hurricane Irma and as of this moment, only the possibility of an evacuation this weekend has been announced.  In the meantime, below are some very important announcements:

  • While we prepare the common areas of your community for the storm, it would help for owners to also prepare their own properties, including pulling in all items from patios and balconies to prevent them from becoming dangerous projectiles.  Please do not contact our office to assist with thisAlthough we would love to help, we have to concentrate our efforts on the communities and our families.  This is a very fluid situation.   Details from the authorities are coming out hourly at times, so please monitor the links in this email.  We are trying to keep you as current as we possibly can.

  • FOR CONDOMINIMUM & TOWNHOME COMMUNITIES:  There have also been a lot of questions surrounding boarding up windows and placing sand bags.  There are no contractors available to do this on a large scale for your association, as they are preparing their businesses and their families for evacuation as well.  If you would like to place sand bags yourself inside of your villa in an effort to alleviate possible flooding, please feel free to do so. However, boarding of windows in condominium and townhome communities would require permission from your Board of Directors and we are not aware of any Boards that have agreed to allow that, due to the damage it can cause to the building exterior.  If you wish to board your windows from the inside that is up to you.

  • We are receiving an extremely high volume of calls and emails right now with questions related to Irma so please bear with us, we are doing our best under the circumstances.  We will continue to send periodic updates by eblast.  You may also monitor our communications on our website by going to www.IMCHHI.com  or like and follow us on Facebook @IMCHHI.  Due to the circumstances of planning for a possible evacuation, hard copy mailing of this notice is not possible so we ask all of you to please communicate this information to your neighbors who may not have access to email.

  • ANY AND ALL COMMUNICATION SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO IRMA@IMCHHI.COM.  Please be sure to include your: Name, Community, Villa Number / Address

  • PLEASE NOTE:  It is the homeowners’ responsibility to notify any renters and/or rental companies with any updates that come from IMC Resort Services, Inc.

  • Our offices will be closing at 12:00PM noon tomorrow, Friday, September 8, 2017 and will remain closed until further notice.  Be prepared to evacuate as soon as possible and if/when the evacuation order is given, please take caution and be safe.

We will be sure to provide up to date information as we receive it.
