Hurricane Dorian Update - 9/3/2019

A lot has changed over the past 24 hours with Hurricane Dorian. After stalling out over the Bahamas as a major hurricane causing devastating damage, Dorian has weakened to a Category 2 storm but has turned to the northwest and is headed toward the Carolinas. We are now under a hurricane warning, and an impact of some level looks almost eminent with conditions beginning to worsen later tomorrow. Please do not be fooled by error cones. Dorian has increased in size and could produce significant wind, rain and surge even if the center of the storm is miles offshore. A Category 2 storm can still cause major damage and be very dangerous to life and safety. Hurricane Matthew was barely a Category 1
